Company Profile

E Green Europe (EGE) is a subsidiary of South-Korean E Green Global (EGG) that has developed a technology to produce virus-free and vigorous microtuber seed potatoes through mass production in bio-secured plant factories.
Microtubers are not new to the potato industry, but existing technologies so far have always had issues with microtuber quality, poor germination, low storability and physiological instability. EGG has worked for more than 15 years in R&D to develop a technology that overcomes these issues so that EGG Microtubers can be used for seed potato production on a practical, commercially viable scale.
EGG Microtubers are harvested every day, throughout the entire year. So, no seasons, no weather, no diseases, no soil, no crop protection, making all EGG Microtubers consistently healthy, all of similar size and physiological age and all so vigorous they can be machine planted directly in the open field.
EGG has recently opened EGE, which is a pilot lab to produce EGG Microtubers in the Netherlands. EGE is part of EGG’s market development strategy and enables EGG to demonstrate its Microtuber solutions with launching customers in the EU and specific target countries that are aiming at ‘local for local’ seed potato production.
We envision to contribute the high quality seed potato globally and bringing the potato industry to the next level. We need you to make it happen together.
